Still having music relations with his platoon, on the arrival of 2014 he started an individual path as a diversified music producer and DJ inspired by Fela Kuti, Yoruba Soul, Culoe De Song, the Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra and Boddhi Satva just to name a few; mostly fond of a style of music that pays homage to the indigenous sounds of Africa where it all began.

Nothando Nhlalonhle Nondumiso Nene, also known as BeePee x Livecalm First Lady but professionally goes by Tandho Takhool, was born on the 14th of June in 1995 at Richards Bay, Kwa-Zulu Natal. After the murder of her father in December 1995, her family was put in witness protection. When she 6 years old, her family was forced to move to Durban where she was raised. She started her schooling life in Hopewell Pre-Primary School and then went on to Yellowwood Park Primary School. She then attended New Forest High School, where she was introduced to different forms of Hip Hop. She was inspired by Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Jean Grae, Eve, J.Cole and Kendrick Lamar. An underground artist in the United States, Chris Barz, who was her most influential rap artist, made her create a new hobby for herself. In 2010, at the age of 15, Tandho began her rapping career where she was mentored by Sanele Sydrow Ngwane. During that year, she joined a group called Verbal Intellects and started recording with them. After realising she wanted to be a solo artist and do more for herself, in 2012 she joined Elias K Records which was managed by Sthabiso Jay Fountein Nobomvu. She recorded a few songs before t relocated. She then had to search for the right producer and a studio. At the failed attempt, she decided to give up on her rapping career and focus on pursuing her Environmental Science degree in University of Kwa-Zulu Natal.
The name “Tandho Takhool” represents her new channel in life and the transition as she becomes a new person but still be entitled to herself as the name “Tandho” is acquired from her government name “Nothando” for originality purposes. “Takhool” is a persona she developed for herself to portray the struggle she had to stay relevant and cool amongst peers and society. “Takhool” is derived from the words “Too Cool” which illustrates the way she views herself and how she wants society to view her. From this, she hopes to take on a whole new perspective of life as she begins her journey of being conscious and more ecocentric rather than being egocentric. She is currently working on new different projects. Her first project is music related. This time she hopes to bring about a new message in her music and take on a different genre and a whole new perspective. The project will promote African art and culture. The second project is called ‘BlackenedWhite’. This project is not music related as it centers on humanity. It aims to bring awareness on racism and issues related to skin colour which is a global issue. She hopes to venture on more new projects as she grows in the industry. Similar to her studies, she hopes to take on projects which will venture her along the field of Ecology. Tandho currently works predominantly in the medium of Hip-Hop as a form of Art, as well as other genres of music, as a Promoter in the Public Relations sector in the Livecalm Lifestyle. She also wants to expand in her field and take on other tasks in the Livecalm Lifestyle collective in order to broaden and assist in developing the company.

Ever reminisce back to those good old days when you used to view proficiency towards life with such enthusiasm? Consider him the few that still aspire to triumph and forge a new period in the modern world, through art as a stepping stone for the open minded into this new era.
To cut this story short before I get carried away, he’s only a hotline bling away if you’re looking for an art piece. Be it an album art, a logo, illustrations, paintings etc. the list is endless.
